Support Richard Carroll's Medical Battle

I am creating this GoFundMe to help my step-dad Richard Carroll and my mother Niki Carroll.

Richard is currently in UT Medical Hospital after having emergency surgery due to the doctor finding he had necrotizing fasciitis, a dangerous flesh-eating disease due to an injury he wasn’t aware he had, and blood clots.

Richard has had a hard year to say the least. His meds earlier this year caused him to go into a diabetic shock and have a stroke which caused him to be put into ICU for a time. He also fell and injured his hip and leg to the point he needed surgery as well earlier this year. This does not include the fact that his cancer is back and recently started radiation treatment again. Needless to say, he has been fighting this year.

His primary caregiver is my mom, Niki. She’s a full-time nurse and works 12-hour days on the weekend to be able to afford to live and care for him during the week.

She has given up school and hours at work to be with him during these hard times because to be completely honest, nobody was sure if he was going to make it out of the hospital. Unfortunately, bills are piling up and multiple weeks of hospital/ICU stays don’t help.

This is to just help give my mother some peace of mind to know she can stay with her husband and know her water bill is paid for the month and electricity is on. And I know Richard would be thankful for that too. They are too stubborn to ask for help but any little thing can help. Even just a quick message to them.
