On the morning of June 11, 2025, around 9:15 AM, our father, Richard Brasseaux, was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident caused by a driver who was not paying attention. What should have been a normal day changed the course of his life in an instant.

Richard sustained severe and life-altering injuries, including a broken left leg, a fractured right clavicle, and multiple broken ribs on his right side. He has already undergone surgeries and faces a long road of hospitalization, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical care.

Anyone who knows Richard knows how full of life he is, always willing to lend a hand, crack a joke, and light up a room with his humor and warmth. But now, he’s unable to do the things he loves most, like being around his grandchildren. The pain and limitations from his injuries have taken a heavy emotional and physical toll.

As you can imagine, the medical expenses, including surgeries, hospital stays, physical therapy, and specialized care, are already beginning to mount and will continue to grow in the months ahead. Our family is doing everything we can, but we simply cannot do it alone.
