From the Flu to Our Worst Nightmare!

On Friday, January 10, Richard was rushed by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital after suffering from the flu for several days. Richard was unable to breathe due to the fact his flu had turned into pneumonia and was put on a ventilator almost immediately. For 11 days, our family and Richard's closest friends visited, prayed, and encouraged Richard to fight as we watched him struggle on life support. While Richard fought to the best of his ability, he unfortunately was way too sick, citing pneumonia and MRSA. Richard could never regain the strength to start breathing on his own again, and then his kidneys started to shut down, requiring dialysis. Richard fought a long and hard fight, but God called him home to Heaven on January 21 at 8:39 am.

Richard was 45 years old with 3 beautiful and young sons who depended on him as well as his wife, Amy.

As you can imagine, this has been a shock to all of us who love Richard.

The financial burdens of burying Richard were unforeseen and the cost for funeral services are insane.

We are asking for donations of ANY SIZE to assist Liz, Amy and the boys in helping to lay Richard to rest on February 21, one month exactly from his passing.

With the help of all of our loving communities, we would like to alleviate some of the burden and give Liz, Amy and the boys, Noah, Dominic, and Braden, some space to breathe financially.
