Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I’m reaching out today on behalf of Rich Machin—a beloved father, husband, friend, sibling, and community member—who recently suffered a life-altering stroke. This unexpected medical emergency has not only taken a toll on his health but has also brought significant emotional and financial challenges.

Since the stroke, Rich has been facing mobility issues and is now unable to navigate his own home without assistance. This week, the family was thrown yet another unexpected curveball: Rich may be returning home within the next two weeks. In order to ensure his safe return and help him regain a sense of independence, we urgently need to install a wheelchair-accessible ramp. This is just one of many expenses we’re facing—including ongoing physical therapy, medication, specialist visits, and daily care needs that aren’t fully covered by insurance.

We are asking for your support to help cover the following:

Construction and installation of a wheelchair ramp

Physical and occupational therapy sessions

Prescription medications

In-home nursing care

Medical equipment not covered by insurance
