Hello to all, Todd Ant here asking for some help for a colleague and friend. Many of you know Rich Coutinho, who has covered sports in New York for decades, specifically the Mets. In the fall of 2024, Rich moved to Stuart, Florida, to be close to the Mets training facility in Port St. Lucie when he suffered a stroke. The good news is that his motor functions are fine. He did suffer short-term memory loss, which is incredibly debilitating when trying to do the basic things that we take for granted. Rich is currently in Harrison Assisted Living facility in Stuart and is unable to work while he recovers and has little funds to pay for his care. There are three people that I am in contact with that are taking care of Rich. I call them Angels in disguise because they are doing things for Rich beyond their jurisdiction, including paying out of their own pocket. I've tried to help financially, but more is needed. This is my first time setting up a GoFundMe, so just asking if anyone can help a little, it can make a big difference in helping Rich recover with medical bills and the facility he is in.
