Support Rice Rasikas in Our Dance Journey!

Hi! We're Rice Rasikas, Rice University's South Asian Classical Dance Team. This year we've worked hard to get into competitions across the country, but we need your help to make it happen as more competitions are are out of state this season and costs are far higher.

As classical dancers, Rice Rasikas has given us a platform to continue our passion in college. We've been able to further our love of storytelling and our connection to our culture. We're a fully student-run team and all of our dancers have put a lot of time into making this competition season possible, whether it's organizing fundraisers, mixing our music, or spending countless hours on choreography. We made it to the national championships a few years ago, and we hope to do the same this year!

We've received minimal funding from the university, so we have also taken steps to fundraise on our own, but between costumes, traveling, hotels, and increased competition registration fees, we simply don't have the funds right now to attend competitions. We'd really appreciate any support you can provide in getting us to nationals! So we're asking you all - Rice students, alumni, family, and friends - to donate however much you can. Any amount is appreciated, and all donations will be used to directly fund our travel expenses to attend competitions.

You can also donate via Venmo to our treasurer (@Srinidhi-Srikalyani) if you prefer! Venmo is preferred as 100% of the donations can be put to team use, whereas GoFundMe takes a fraction of our donations for processing/transaction fees that we unfortunately can't use.
