Hi everyone,

I’m starting this GoFundMe to help my brother Ricardo, who has been struggling with severe bipolar disorder for the past three years. During this time, he has been in and out of hospitals trying his best to get the help he needs. Even though he keeps trying, the cycle of hospital stays, medications, and treatment has taken a huge toll on him — emotionally and financially.

What makes this especially heartbreaking is that my brother is genuinely one of the kindest, most caring people you could meet. He’s the type of person who will give whatever he has, even when he has very little. He’s always the first to check on others, the first to offer help, and the last to complain about his own struggles.

He has such a gentle heart, and seeing him go through this has been incredibly difficult for all of us.

The ongoing medical bills and costs of basic living have piled up, and it’s gotten to the point where he can’t manage it on his own anymore. Our family is doing everything we can, but we need some help to make sure he has stability and continues to get the treatment he needs.

• Therapy and mental health treatment

• Basic living expenses while he focuses on healing
