On Thursday, sweet Rhubarb was hit and run over by a car. Miraculously, her legs, organs, and spine are okay — but she suffered five fractures in her tail. While there’s a very slim chance she won’t need surgery, it’s highly likely that Rhubarb will need to have her tail amputated.

Rhu and Jilly are meeting with a surgical specialist on Tuesday, and the estimated cost of the procedure is around $4,500.

Rhubarb isn’t just a pet — she’s family. She’s goofy, gentle, and deeply loved by so many of you.

Jilly has always shown up for her community — through her work as a high school social worker, her friendships, and the way she cares for everyone around her. Now, I’d love to give her community a chance to show up for her.
