Let’s Help Rhonda Help Her Mom
Our friend and neighbor Rhonda Bradford
is facing a heartbreaking and urgent situation—and now it’s our turn to show up for someone who has always shown up for others.
Jessie was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. While preparing for a lobectomy (removal of her upper left lung where the cancer is located), the surgeon discovered multiple arteries with significant blockage. Had they not performed an angiogram, Jessie would not have survived the lobectomy due to the massive blockage. Everyone has had to switch gears.
Rhonda’s mom needs life-saving surgery, and while Medicare is covering a large portion, there’s still a $10,000 out-of-pocket balance that must be paid upfront before the surgery can move forward. The deadline is June 4th—and time is running out.
Rhonda is a single mom, raising her son and caring for her mother—both emotionally and financially—on her own. She works hard to provide, but this unexpected medical crisis is simply more than one person can handle.
And yet, Rhonda has always found time to serve others. She volunteers for numerous organizations in our community, including the PTSD Foundation of America/Camp Hope, and is always the first to show up with a helping hand, a warm smile, or a kind word.
Now, it’s our turn to lift her up.
Here’s how easy it can be:
• $20 from 500 people = $10,000
Every dollar truly makes a difference. If you can give, please do. If you can’t, please share. Together, we can give Rhonda’s mom a fighting chance—and remind Rhonda that she’s not in this alone.
ABOUT THE SURGERY:
Surgery 1: Ms. Jessie's open-heart quadruple bypass surgery is scheduled for June 4th at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Denton.
Surgery 2: Following successful recovery from cardiac surgery, a second procedure will be necessary to excise the cancerous upper left lobe of Ms. Jessie's lung. Pre-operative imaging, including MRI and PET scans, will be required to confirm the absence of metastasis. We remain optimistic regarding a favorable prognosis.
All funds will go DIRECTLY to Rhonda to
pay for her mothers surgeries.
Thank you so much for your support.
