Support Rhonda’s Journey to Remission for a Brighter Future

Well, here we are less than 24 hours before I head to Boston to be admitted to Mass General to start my stem cell transplant journey.
This is to move me toward long-term remission from the Multiple Myeloma and Plasma Cell Leukemia that has taken up residence in my body and to give me a more normal lifestyle. My life, moving forward, certainly won’t look the same as before, but I’m confident it’ll become a newer, shinier version.
I am feeling all the feels this morning and allowing them to come because I’ve always felt it’s better to move through things rather than trying to go around them. The universe has a great memory and will always have you deal with things sooner or later. Since time is precious these days, I’d rather deal with things right here and right now.
You all have been so very generous with your time, financial support, love, and prayers, and I ask that they continue through this next phase. It’ll be a while before I’m able to even think about working again, and I don’t see going back behind the chair in my near future, if ever, which means figuring out what’s next for me.
In the meantime, I’m heading to Boston with my head held high and my heart full of love and gratitude for each and every one of you. Thank you for being there in every way a person can hope for. I love you all!
