I never imagined I would be writing something like this. Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Hearing the word “cancer” changes everything in an instant. Since then, my days have been filled with doctor appointments, tests, difficult decisions, and preparing for surgery and treatment. My diagnosis is early-stage breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment that includes surgery and ongoing medication to reduce the risk of recurrence. My surgery is scheduled for April 9th, 2026, and will be followed by physical therapy and radiation. While I am grateful that it was caught early and that my prognosis is very good, the journey is still physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming.
Between medical bills, deductibles, coinsurance, medications, and time away from work for treatment and recovery, the financial strain has become significant. Like many people facing cancer, I am learning that the costs of fighting this disease extend far beyond the hospital walls. I am starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of my breast cancer treatment so I can focus on healing and recovery. Donations will go toward medical expenses, treatment costs, medications, and recovery-related needs.
If you are able to contribute, no matter the amount, it would mean so much to me. If you cannot donate, sharing this page or keeping me in your thoughts and prayers would be deeply appreciated. This journey has reminded me how precious life is and how powerful the support of others can be. Thank you for standing with me during this time. With gratitude, Rhonda
