Support Rhonda's Battle with Cancer

My name is Kristin (Block) Keiser and I am asking for help to raise money for Rhonda Cramer as she goes through her fight with cancer. To say she is my friend does not express how I feel. She is a sister to me. Anyone who knows her can tell you she has a heart of gold! She is always thinking of others and ready and willing to do anything for anyone in need. But now she needs our help. She has been struggling with a serious disease called PH or Pulmonary Hypertension for the last 23 years. PH affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of the heart and worsens over time. There is no cure for PH. She already experiences fatigue, chest pressure and pain, shortness of breath, swelling of ankles.

In November of 2023, she had a colonoscopy where a cancerous polyp was found which was removed during the procedure. She then had surgery to remove tissue where the polyp was attached and pathology and MRI showed she was clear of cancer. But in May bloodwork showed the cancer was back. A PET scan in June showed it had spread to her liver. What started as a 6 cm tumor then doubled in size in 4 weeks.

She is working with doctors at Fox Chase in Philadelphia and they are working closely with her PH doctors to oversee her chemo regimen. She began chemo July 25th. She completed one round so far and is currently doing her second set of chemo treatments. She is experiencing the side effects of chemo. She is very tired and nauseous, has lack of appetite and having extreme cold sensitivity to her mouth and fingers.

The plan is to do chemo and see if the tumor shrinks. Then to do radiation. Next there will be 3 more rounds of chemo. Doctors are trying to avoid surgery since she is high risk due to having PH.

Carl has been going to Philly to be with Rhonda during her chemo sessions. Recently due to complications from her chemo she had to be hospitalized at Fox Chase for five days. There is a place for Rhonda to stay called Hope Lodge at Fox Chase however, someone has to stay with her for liability reasons . Carl has been taking off work but he is running out of time to take off.

Aside from the physical toll this has taken on Rhonda, the mental stress is weighing heavily on her. She is aware of how her medical bills are continuing to pile up. The money donated will go to medical bills, and gas money for getting back and forth from Fox Chase. I want to give Rhonda peace of mind so that she can focus on getting through her treatments and fighting this cancer .
