Support Rhonda Lynch's Recovery And Care After Stroke
Donation protected
***Update 1/15/2025*** THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED!!! As of yesterday, Rhonda had her breathing tube removed to see if her lungs could support her breathing with the help of a mask (CPAP type). The lung doc said he was a little concerned about her progress and thought she'd need to have the tube reinserted. She is very sedated, though she occasionally opens an eye or lifts her right hand and moves her right foot. The family respectfully asks that only family and close friends visit, as she is still in ICU and would likely not want a lot of folks seeing her this way. She also needs as much rest as possible for her brain to heal. Keep praying and sending your love!***
On the evening of January 10, Rhonda collapsed just as the last parents were picking up their littles from her home, where she's provided a steady, loving daycare for many years. They were quickly able to get her to Matsu Regional and then flown to Providence for medical treatment. So far, what the family knows is that she suffered a hemhorragic stroke. They performed surgery to provide a stent for the bleeding on her brain. She will be in the ICU for at least a couple of weeks as they monitor her and continue to run tests, etc. We wanted to help the family with expenses at this time.
Those who know Rhonda know that she lives very humbly. She makes her life about providing to others around her, and she has an incredibly strong faith in God. She doesn't have health insurance, as the cost is incredibly prohibitive, so this will be a very expensive road to navigate for her and her family. She will likely no longer be able to provide childcare services, closing the door of her beloved daycare after being "Grandma" to so many of our precious children for so many years, She will also likely have weakness on the left side of her body. As we get more information, we can update this page, with the permission of the family.
I'm asking that others join me in contributing on the road to her recovery as she's contributed to us and so many others. The immediate needs will be paying rent as the family determines the next steps. Obviously, there will be more to come, and Go Fund Me adjusts the goal amount as donations are provided.
Please also pray, as I know that's what she would ask first and foremost. Please also remember our kiddos, especially her daughters, adopted kids, and grandkids. We love you, Rhonda!!!
