Monday evening my nana, Rhonda Cook, was in a horrible head on collision and airlifted to a hospital in Lubbock with multiple life threatening injuries. She was placed on a ventilator and had been fighting for her life ever since.
We are devastated to say she succumbed to those injuries one week later (June 23,2025) and went home to be with Jesus, her loving son Cory, her parents, her doggy Percy and others.
Rhonda left behind her best friend and husband Eric Cook, loving son Robert Cook, her loving sisters Burna and Marsha, her dog Tater, and her 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
We have all been completely blind-sided by this tragedy but more than anyone, her husband Eric, has had his sole caretaker, life partner and best friend taken from him too soon.
This money raised will go to funding her funeral/celebration of life. It will also act as a cushion for Eric who has dementia and can not work any longer.
If you can not donate, your prayers for our family are just as much appreciated. Thank you so much.
Rhonda was so loved by so many. It is a cliche to say she lit up a room as soon as she walked in but that honestly is the truth. She cared so deeply for people and was so loving to everyone she came into contact with. She will be missed deeply.
