My name is Terry, and I moved to this community in 1965. The very first person I met was Steve Hanlon, and from that day on, we were inseparable. We took swimming lessons together, fished every day, and shared all the adventures that childhood brings. Steve was more than a friend—he was like a brother to me, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
Yesterday, Steve passed away, leaving behind his beloved wife Rhonda and their grandchild, whom they had taken in and cared for as their own. Steve had been disabled for some time, and Rhonda now faces the overwhelming challenge of moving forward without him. She will need help with funeral expenses and the many other costs that come with such a sudden loss. Steve worked hard all his life and retired just two years ago, but his health declined after retirement, and he struggled with a serious liver problem.
I am reaching out to our community for support. Rhonda and her grandchild are facing a difficult road ahead, and any donation—no matter how small or large—will help ease their burden. Steve was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, and now, in his memory, I hope we can come together to help his family. Your kindness and generosity will mean the world to Rhonda and their grandchild during this heartbreaking time.
