My husband and I shared a life full of love and memories. For four years, I cared for him as he battled dementia, and then, in just six weeks, blood cancer took him away from me. He didn’t have the chance to make me his beneficiary before he passed, so I don’t have access to the funds we had hoped would help me now. I’m on disability, and it’s simply not enough to cover all the expenses that keep coming.
Right now, I’m struggling to pay for my van and our condo, which has an HOA fee. After covering those, there’s nothing left for groceries or other essentials. It’s a difficult time, and I’m doing my best to get by, but I need help to stay afloat and keep my home and independence.
I’m so grateful that my niece and daughter have set this up for me. My husband was deeply loved by me and our family, and his absence is felt every day. Caring for him during his dementia was the longest goodbye, and I miss him tremendously. Any support you can offer means the world to me, and I appreciate your kindness more than words can say.
