Our family’s world changed last week when our sweet nephew Rhodes was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). At just 4 years old, he is now facing a battle no child should ever have to fight. He is currently in the hospital beginning a 28-day induction phase of chemotherapy, the first step in a long and difficult journey filled with frequent hospital visits and years of treatment ahead.
Rhodes is in pre-K, full of laughter, curiosity, and light. He is incredibly smart, endlessly joyful, and deeply loved. He is also a twin; inseparable from his brother, Rollins, who has been his constant companion and best friend since the day they were born. Rhodes is also a proud big brother to Palmer, just 20 months old, who brings even more love as this family faces the road ahead together.
Even in the middle of fear and uncertainty, Rhodes continues to amaze us with his bravery. While we are still processing so many emotions, we are taking this journey one day at a time, and praying for complete healing.
As Rhodes’ parents focus on being by his side, while also caring for Rollins and Palmer, the practical burdens add up quickly. Travel to and from the hospital, meals during long days and nights, time away from work, medical expenses, childcare, and everyday household costs don’t pause just because life has changed overnight.
Every donation, share, message, and prayer means more than we could ever put into words. Please continue to keep Rhodes and our entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
