Help My Daughter Heal After Brain Tumor Surgery

Hello friends,

My name is Wendy and I’m writing this on behalf of my beloved daughter, Rhea. She is preparing to undergo surgery to remove a tumor on the lining of her brain. She has been suffering with symptoms for months. All of which culminated in a scary event at Christmas. She has been struggling so much since. As a mother, there are no words to describe how hard it is to see your child face something like this.

Rhea is a local doctor providing naturopathic care to our community. She has always been strong, independent, and compassionate — someone who gives so much of herself to others. She works for herself and homeschools one of her two children. She is the center of their family. She cares for them and our community. Being self employed means there is no safety net of paid leave making this situation more challenging fo her family. Now, she needs our support as she faces this challenging time. Her surgery will take place at a specialized hospital in Boston in just a few weeks.

Even with insurance, there are significant expenses that will not be covered — including lodging, and a portion of the medical bills. She will also be unable to work for a period of time as she recovers, and when she is cleared to work again she will need to be on reduced hours which means a loss of income right when expenses are increasing.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to help ease her financial burden so she can focus on healing and recovery. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward:
