Help Support Disrea Wright : A Healing Herbalist under the name Gnomadic Garden and Creations
1# Need is Housing….
The housing crisis can affect us all but it especially make it hard for a single individual to work, live, create, and feel secure.
Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Strangers,
I’m reaching out to ask for your help in supporting a truly special soul—Disrea Wright (Rhea) and her kind four legged companion Sophacles, they are in need of support at this time. Rhea is a dedicated herbalist, poet, songstress, and healer who has been learning and honing her skills with care each day. Skills such as a writing, artistry, plant cultivation and plant preservation, medicine making, and community building.
She often does work such and home aid, with elderly as well as child care, house organization and clearing, volunteering at local food pantry and community centers.
Wherever she finds herself in
the world through her knowledge of plant medicine, gardening and guardianship of the nature she cultivates “like magic from the fertile ground” many invaluable resources. Such as grass root community, gathering for art and play, a conversation with plants and nature and sometimes just simple quiet contemplations with herbal tea. She is on a deep search for truth and home and she is traveling between our Sullivan County community and Oneonta area to discover and expand.
Rhea is not just a skilled herbalist; she is a compassionate, selfless individual who even in her own struggles finds a voice “ for the people “ has a sense of inclusiveness that bridges class, social and generations gaps. She is walking a path of empowerment for herself and others to heal holistically.
Rhea is currently facing some challenging financial difficulties that are making it hard for her to continue her work and take care of her basic needs.
The most immediate of her needs are:
-Securing stable housing
-Covering basic living expenses, including food and essential bills.
The lack of financial stability is threatening her ability to continue her practice, aid others in need, and her ability to support herself.
How the Funds Will Help:
Housing: Disrea Wright is in urgent need of secure housing to continue her work and life in a safe, nurturing environment. A place she can cultivate and protect the earth.
Food and Basic Living Expenses: The funds will help cover her monthly bills, groceries, and other necessities that ensure she has the energy and ability to continue her healing work.
Herbal Practice Support: As an herbalist, Rhea offers invaluable and time consuming herbal practices making high quality plant medicine and giving with out a second thought, to anyone in need, and creates healing spaces for all she is in the presents of.
Her community building is cross cultural and cross generational, bringing together people to share story’s of all manor.
A peaceful activist and a true facilitator, I believe this power could grow if she was secure, safe, and stable.
Why Your Help Matters:
Your support will not only help ensure that Disrea Wright and Sophacles can meet their immediate needs, but it will also empower her to continue offering her gifts of healing, learning, wisdom, and compassion to others. She has touched so many lives already, and with your help, she can continue her journey with stable housing and basic needs meet she will be able to secure jobs and volunteer positions in her chosen community.
Whether you can donate $5, $50, or $500, every little bit will make a difference. No contribution is too small. If you aren’t able to donate financially, please share this campaign with others—spreading the word is just as impactful.
