My name is Reyte Rash and I am working hard to be one of the greatest athletes of all time. I am a post-collegiate 400-meter hurdler training in Pomona, CA, while also working and fully supporting myself financially. Ever since I was in high school, I knew I was going to be a legendary athlete, but I didn’t know what sport that would be.

I played football and enjoyed it a lot, enough that I was determined to stay in shape in the offseason. I started running track and got into hurdles, but as years went on, I realized that I had a real talent and love for track over football. It took me to high-level competitions like the California state meet and got me a scholarship at Cal State University Fullerton. This was a huge moment for me, especially since this was what my parents and I had set out to achieve. My parents are both deaf, so the one thing they wanted for me and my sister was to elevate ourselves beyond what was expected of us or what may be holding us back.

In college, I had many struggles with things such as constant injuries, COVID, finances, and much more, but I kept fighting every day to achieve my goal of being one of the greats. Now I graduated in 2024 and I’m still not quitting in my pursuit. My first year out, I went from barely making the top 50 in the US to becoming a US nationals finalist despite having no team and no resources, just me, my coach, and my determination. However, despite making it work, it has not come without struggles. Working long shifts immediately after practice, not having access to trainers, all of these things have limited me from being able to consider competing in places with better competition but that require travel and other expenses.

Put simply, I am trying to raise money to be able to afford the travel expenses necessary to go to high-level competitions around the world so I can prove that I have what it takes to be the best! If you are willing to be a part of my journey, I would greatly appreciate your support!
