Hello, y’all! My name is Rey Fletcher (they/them) and this story contains trigger warnings for medical abuse/neglect, PTSD, SA, and talks of surgery.

TRIGGER WARNINGS//: I moved from the USA to Europe with Hungarian Dual Citizenship (my grandparents immigrated from Hungary in the 50s). I had a really great year, until around Halloween. I experienced some health conditions that landed me in the hospital for 2 full weeks, during my time in the hospital I experienced medical neglect/abuse. When I got back home, I had severe PTSD symptoms and had trouble with activities of daily living (sleeping, eating, drinking, etc.). My good friend and neighbor, J, was my caretaker during this time and we went through many hardships together. Finally, I was starting to feel better, but then December hit and I got really sick, which prompted me to go to the hospital again. During this late December visit to the hospital, I experienced SA (Sexual Assault aka Rape) from a doctor. This put me back in a similar headspace as I was around Halloween. I need to report these abuses to the police; however, I have a lot of (justified) paranoia/fear of cops. I need help financially since I was let go of my job (1099 contractor virtual SLP position) during my stay in the hospital in November.

I want to save up for a motorized wheelchair and a dedicated AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device. The AAC device I want is an iPad with a tough case, Proloquo2Go ($200) downloaded and a screen protector. I also hired a caretaker to help me through this difficult time, Lau, who has been doing an incredible job! So money from this campaign will also go to paying her.
