Now we begin...

Hello family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ,

My name is JovAnna. I am a new widow due to the unexpected passing of my beloved husband Rey. Together we have 4 beautiful children and a house full of life and love. Rey was a very talented, strong-hearted, selfless, family-oriented husband. We loved spending time together outdoors and, in our home, uplifting our children to be better humans in this world. We are surrounded by many friends, family, and extended family through the grace of Christ!

Most of you all knew Rey as a talented local barber in Albuquerque. He was our main provider and protector. It saddens me to say Rey experienced life-threatening heart complications which resulted in emergency open-heart surgery (Type A Aortic Dissection) which led to a second emergency surgery to repair blood flow to his right leg. (9/10/2024).

Recently Rey underwent a pre operation to "Debranch the vessels" above his heart on the aorta. Surgery was successful so we thought until he soon declined with internal bleeding. He was taken in for emergency surgery which ultimately resulted in his untimely passing on (9/10/2025) at 8:34pm. With that being said, I am left a widow to raise our 4 beautiful children. This is why I kindly ask for help during this difficult time until I can get us back on our feet and living this new life with Rey not as our bread winner or our family's rock! Humbly, I ask for all who know us, see our need in this crisis, please help us out any way you can. Support, prayer, gift cards, donations.

Please Remember that the $6000 of raised funds were last years raised funds and thus far with this new update we are at $500 with a tremendous expense that needs fulfillment as soon as possible. Funeral Expexense total a little over $12,000 and an autopsy is $5000+ (because my gut is feeling medical malpractice and our family wants peace of mind). The Rest could be for helping with bills and helping me transition from Stay-at-home mom to working mom.
