On October 2024, Reynald Johnson Ladia’s life changed forever after a devastating motor accident left him with multiple skull fractures and severe brain damage. Since then, Reynald has been bedbound and nonverbal, facing a long and uncertain road to recovery. He has endured more than eight surgeries, including craniotomy, cranioplasty, PEG tube placement, tracheostomy, and repeated VP shunt procedures due to ongoing malfunctions and infections. Each hospital stay and operation has tested his strength and the resilience of our family.

Reynald is a loving and responsible father whose greatest joy has always been caring for his children. Now, he relies on the unwavering support of our family, especially my two sisters and his wife who have been his primary caregivers since the accident. Their dedication—providing round-the-clock care, comfort, and encouragement—has been nothing short of heroic. While my parents, our brother Alvin and I are away from home, we do everything we can to support Reynald financially, emotionally, and spiritually. The heartbreak of seeing him struggle is immense, but our hope for his recovery keeps us moving forward.
