Support Rey & Daisy During Critical Times

Dear Family and Friends,

The family of Daisy Jimenez and Reynaldo Barajas come to you with humble hearts to share about our amazing daughter, sister, mother, life partner, aunt, cousin and friend Daisy. Those that know Daisy, know that she is a selfless, loving, kind, and truly special woman. As most of you may know, Daisy was happy and healthy, she was thriving as she awaited being a first-time mom. She continued to work, and attend her nursing program, all while 29 weeks pregnant.

Unfortunately, the family is now in need of your assistance. On Thursday, May 8, Rey rushed Daisy to the ER for chest pains and lightheadedness. An EKG & CT scan revealed a rupture in her heart. This was a life-threatening situation for her and their baby boy. On Friday, May 9 she was flown out to Stanford for a C section followed immediately by open heart surgery.

Daisy has been through so much in the last 72 hours with no confirmed amount of time needed for Daisy and Baby Damien to recover. She is now recovering after an 8-hour surgery. Baby is currently in the NICU, away from his mom who is recovering in another wing of the hospital.

The emotional and financial toll of a major surgery is astronomical for this young family, we are asking for your help so that Daisy may continue her recovery and so that both parents can stay beside their baby boy. Your donation will help them with travel, medical expenses and ease the burden so that Rey can focus on helping Daisy with her recovery and stay beside his baby.
