Help support Rex's MRI for a chance at recovery

hi everyone! My name is Lex and my cousin Danielle and her fiancé Pat are needing our help with Rex. I understand how hard it is going through medical issues with your fur babies having gone through it myself years ago.

Their dog Rex has been having a lot of medical issues lately with his back legs. He is Danielle’s world. He’s the dog that has been there through every major moment in her life from bad breakups, life being life, big moves to another state, plenty of travel nursing assignments, and finally meeting his forever Daddy Pat. They both just welcomed their baby boy into this world only 2 weeks ago and are currently on leave from work. Money is tight for obvious reasons and Rex is really needing an MRI of his back to determine what is going on and what they should plan for, whether he has a fighting chance from a herniated disc or if it’s more serious like degenerative myelopathy. This is VERY expensive($5000 to be exact) but the only thing left to give him a fighting chance and find out what is going on. We all don’t want to give up on him. We also are wanting to order him a custom wheelchair to still be a dog, but of course that comes as an extra cost as well.

He is in great spirits, wants to play, loves his bones and treats, eats like a champ and still completely there mentally. His body and back are just not cooperating. He his not able to walk as his back legs are very weak. He is not paralyzed thankfully, but we could really use the help to do further testing.

Danielle and Pat have already spent a pretty penny and I know they don’t regret a single dime. But now add in a baby and not working currently, they are trying to evaluate how to go about this financially. They have tried steroids, antibiotics and other medications, even homeopathic remedies. But it’s hard not knowing what is needing to be treated. Please help me, help them! These are two amazing people and parents to their new baby boy and fur babies, they both work so hard and would do anything for anybody. I hate to see Rex the way he is and how hard it is on them. Anything will help❤️
