'Ia ora na!
We are excited to announce that the NGO Association Reva Atea has been recognized and accredited by the United Nations for the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC) in Nice in June of 2025. We have been approved for the UNOC Blue Zone, a recognition that enables us to participate actively in debates and decision making in favor of ocean protection.
By taking part in this event, our aim is to promote the oceans of the world and the reefs of French Polynesia by highlighting the theme of “Preserving coral reefs and lagoon health.”
To make this trip possible, Reva Atea is both applying for grants from the Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources, and the Environment and fundraising with national and international communities.
If you are interested in helping us unite our actions in French Polynesia to preserve the Mana of our Ocean and promote the Polynesian model, between tradition and innovation, at the 3rd United Nations Conference on the Ocean, you can support our participation in UNOC here.
We are fundraising to support attendance and the printing and presentation of high-quality materials for delivering our message strongly at UNOC. This includes programmatic and scientific banners, coral reef bleaching activity sets, QR code stickers to scientific and educational links, and travel support for our team.
Thank you for your support of coral reefs and science and education in French Polynesia. Together we will continue preserving the health and value of our reefs and oceans!
Māuruuru roa!
