Support Reta Fleming's Battle with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer
Donation protected
As some of you may know, my Grandma Reta Fleming found out she had cancer in August of 2024. In October of 2024, they diagnosed her with stage 4 ovarian cancer.
The doctor told her there is no cure for it, but they can try and give her quality of life/comfort and try and shrink the tumors with chemo. So they started her on chemo last year right away, once a month. As most know, she lives in Montana; her doctor is in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. In December, she was transported to Missoula by ambulance because her oxygen levels dropped really low, and there were other medical things going on as well. She was stuck in the hospital for 4 months. Due to neuropathy and an infection in her leg, she was unable to walk or stand. Around the end of March, beginning of April, she was able to slowly regain movement through physical therapy.
The doctor decided to hold off on any more chemo until she got stronger and her body was able to handle it.
Tuesday, they decided to start chemo again, but one that will hopefully be easier on her body. She does chemo once week for 2 weeks then has 3rd week for break and has to do this for 3-4 months.
My grandma is always one to help others and always going above and beyond to give to others. She has been so strong during this journey, but it has come to a point where we are asking others for help during this difficult time, because as most know, you don’t make much off of Social Security.
Their vehicles aren’t the most reliable right now, but with doctor bills, hotel stays for chemo, and day-to-day bills, they don’t have the extra funds to put into their vehicles.
All funds raised will go to gas to travel to and from chemo appointments, hotel stays, doctor bills, and if any extra, it will go to fix their vehicles.
We appreciate any help we can get and if you can’t donate please share and pray!
If you would like to donate gas cards or hotel stays instead feel free to reach out to Kylee Lohman on Facebook!
