Support Rescue Efforts for Two Found Dogs and Puppy!

Please note that this story has been updated to include the needs of one of the puppies belonging to the two adult dogs originally featured in this GoFundMe request. Thank you for reading their story.
Hi, my name is Elizabeth Davis (aka Lisa to most friends) and my animal rescue partner Madhu Chhagan and I are fundraising to help two found dogs. We refer to the dogs as the Mama (so named because she appears physically to have recently had puppies) and the Papa.
They are an extremely bonded pair and were found living in the streets and hills in and around the intersection of Steep Canyon Road and Diamond Bar Boulevard in Diamond Bar, California. Neither dog had a collar nor were they microchipped. Despite advertised notices of the loose dogs on social media (Facebook Community Group, NextDoor App) the dogs remained unclaimed. Searches on lost pet data banks resulted in no matches. It is unknown what became of the Mama's litter.
Initial attempts to capture the dogs and bring them to safe shelter where they could be protected from cars on the streets and active wildlife in the hills were, not surprisingly, futile. The dogs were fearful and distrustful of the many kindhearted strangers who attempted to help them. Finally, however, with persistence and patience (along with tasty tuna), we were able to gain Papa's trust. Mama soon followed his lead which put an end to what was a minimum five day ordeal of living loose and fending on their own for survival.
Today, Papa and Mama are with their foster family. Considering what they have been through, they have adjusted extremely well and in such a short time. They appear to be healthy and are definitely much happier and more relaxed. They've taken immediately to their fosters which makes us wonder if perhaps there is a human family out there that they are missing? Out of due diligence and as required, the local humane society has been notified of the found dogs and fliers have been posted near the area where they were found. We may never know the true story of how they came to run loose and live on the streets and hills.
As the Papa and the Mama prepare for their new life, they need some one time services as well as on-going health maintenance support. Specifically, they will need:
1. Spay and neuter surgery
2. Basic vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP)
3. Microchipping
4. Flea Treatment
5. Grooming/Grooming Supplies
6. Initial Veterinary Health Assessments
7. Food and Treats (we project the need for a two month supply)
8. Rescue Organization Application Fees
With your support, we can ensure a healthy and secure beginning for Papa and Mama as they look forward to a future forever home. Thank you very much.
