Support Rescue and Care for Pigeons
Donation protected
Christmas is a busy time for everyone, especially those in animal rehab and rescue.
This year alone, I’ve rescued and rehabilitated over 230 pigeons as a volunteer for Pigeon Rescue Melbourne, many of whom arrived in critical condition. That’s an average of one pigeon rescued every 1.5 days!
These aren’t just birds- they’re lives. Some were abandoned, others injured, sick, or disabled. Each rescue takes an outpouring of love, time, and resources. From vet bills, bedding, and materials for their care, it all adds up.
In 2024, I’ve spent over ten grand on these efforts mostly out of my own pocket, often stretching beyond my means. This doesn’t include the countless hours spent rehabilitating these birds back to health, finding forever homes, getting to vets, cleaning cages, or providing them with a sanctuary when no other options exist.
I’m only one person, and spend hours each day either actively up-keeping my efforts or raising money to continue it.
This holiday season, I’m asking for your help. Your donation, no matter how small, goes directly to the food, medical care, and shelter I provide for these birds. My setup always needs upgrading, from housing to new diagnostic equipment to new filters for the air purifiers that keeps my rehab rooms from turning into dust.
Your funding could provide the warmth and safety for pigeons who would otherwise face an uncertain future. I know Christmas can be a hard time for many, but if you are able to and want your Christmas gift to make a genuine impact, perhaps consider donating to my rescue efforts as a member of Pigeon Rescue Melbourne and Pigeon Rescue Support Inc. ❤️️
