The Story Behind Replaced
Hi, my name is Michal Indrak, and I’m an independent filmmaker passionate about creating thought-provoking stories that reflect on modern life. My latest project, Replaced, is a powerful short film that delves into one of the most pressing issues of our time: the impact of AI on mental health and human connection.
In Replaced, we explore a near-future world where artificial intelligence begins to blur the boundaries between genuine human relationships and technological reliance. The film is both a cautionary tale and an emotional journey, asking questions like: What happens when technology starts to replace our emotional needs? Can we truly connect in a world dominated by AI?
This story feels personal to me because I’ve seen how AI is becoming a part of everyday life. Whether it’s at work, university, or even in personal tasks, I’ve noticed how people increasingly rely on AI—sometimes even speaking to it as if it were a person. It’s fascinating and unsettling at the same time, and I want this film to explore what this shift means for our emotions and relationships. With this film, I hope to spark important conversations about finding balance in a world increasingly shaped by machines.
Why We Need Your Help
To bring Replaced to life, we need to raise £3000. This funding will allow us to cover essential production costs, including:
- Locations: Shooting key scenes in London and the picturesque Whitstable coast.
- Equipment & Crew: Ensuring a professional and cinematic quality.
- Post-Production: Editing, sound design, and visual effects to create an immersive experience.
- Film Festival Submissions: Sharing Replaced with a global audience to raise awareness and start meaningful dialogues.
Every Contribution Counts
Your support—no matter the size—will make a huge difference. Together, we can create a film that not only entertains but also resonates with audiences, challenging them to reflect on how technology shapes our emotional world.
By donating, you’re not just funding a film—you’re helping tell a story that needs to be heard. Thank you for believing in independent filmmaking and for supporting Replaced.
