Renzo, known for his big smile, good heart and devotion as a father, faced a life-changing crisis on March 8th. At 3 a.m., he was admitted to the emergency room with a fever and cough, expecting a quick fix. By 11 a.m., his condition worsened drastically, leaving him intubated and in distress.
Despite treatment, Renzo's health continued to decline over four agonizing days. Concerned, Dr. Kim decided to transfer him to UCLA for advanced care and ECMO support. The transfer proved pivotal; after six tense hours, his vital signs stabilized, and he ultimately didn't need the ECMO machine.
Miraculously, just six days later, Renzo was discharged, ready to embark on his recovery journey. However, he faces a challenging road ahead, needing support for hospital bills, therapy, rent, and food, and he may be unable to return to work for months.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated. Your generosity can make a significant difference in Renzo's recovery journey.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
With gratitude,
Renzo’s mom
