MY NAME IS RENE LACHANCE

Im looking for support in any way possible for assisting in my medical expenses and 24/7 caregivers. In July of 2017 I was driving my Semi Truck to Oregon and took a medically challenged friend with me so he could have some time away. Tragically while assisting him back in the truck he slipped and fell back into me which made me stumble backwards and I landed on my back which resulted in my spinal cord getting injured and leaving me paralyzed. I spent 3 months in the hospital in Oregon then I got transported back home to Red Bluff where I live.

I started occupational therapy and physical therapy in Chico where I started getting the use of my right hand and arm. I also started getting up and walk the parallel bars with a lot of assistance and do water therapy in the pool. I started to get better and gain strength and was able to minimally feed myself. Then in 2019 on the way home from therapy we were rear ended at a stop light and that accident broke my neck and back. I had to go though a ton of surgeries and lost all progress that I gained and ended up worse then before.

Now it’s 2025 and I can control my wheel chair joystick, but that’s about all. I require 24/7 care. I greatly appreciate anyone who is willing to help, whether it be donations, prayers, or sharing to get the word out. Thank you so much and god bless you all. I will update everyone as the days go on.
