On Friday, January 19, 2026, a family’s life was changed forever. While driving home in Phoenix, 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) were hospitalized after a head-on collision with a truck where police determined impairment played a role. In the vehicle was Rene, his son Jaxx, their uncle and a cousin. Both children were badly injured and immediately transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital where they underwent surgery. While his cousin was discharged after a few days, Jaxx remained in critical condition for several days.

Thankfully, everyone involved in the accident survived. However, Jaxx was fighting for his life as medical staff performed multiple surgeries. His condition is now stable although he's still in the hospital recovering. Jaxx experienced injuries to his spine that have left him paralyzed and unable to walk.

As a result of this tragedy, the family is left navigating an overwhelming and uncertain road ahead. This tragedy comes at a time the family was already working hard to make ends meet.

I have known Rene (driver & Jaxx's father) for nearly a decade. I previously worked with him & his family at a full‑service detail shop for several years. For me, this is a family that welcomed me as one of their own & showed me love and support through good and bad times. Knowing the challenging road ahead, I wanted to do something to help ease the burden.

I started this fundraiser to help support Jaxx, and his entire family. The support and love from all of you has been amazing to witness and an honor to be a part of.

All funds raised go directly to Jaxx and his family. The donations will cover urgent & ongoing medical expenses, purchasing reliable transportation, and helping the family regain stability while focusing on Jaxx’s care and recovery.

Every contribution, no matter the size, is a powerful reminder that this family is not alone.
