When Renee experienced dizziness and vomiting on October 1st, she never imagined she would end up in the ER for a stroke. Thankfully, she made it to the hospital within 24 hours for the best outcome, but she has a long road ahead of her for recovery to regain some of her basic motor skills and function. In addition to this, extensive testing has yet to determine a cause so that she can prepare for her next chapter. Renee's life will look very different moving forward, starting with a new diet, protective measures taken in her home, and a potential accommodation for her career.
This is a significant setback to Renee's income as a self-employed barber and hair stylist. With her mobility compromised for an indeterminate amount of time, she is uncertain of when she will be able to start making money again. It is our hope that the proceeds from this campaign act as a bridge to get her through the following months during her recovery.
Anyone who knows Renee knows she lights up a room. She loves her friends, family, and community fiercely. She loves spending her two children, Izabell and Nick, thrifting and watching movies. We are hopeful to get Renee back to feeling like herself, and your donation will help her get there. In the coming weeks, please keep an eye on this page for updates regarding any additional in-person help Renee will need from us. Thank you for surrounding Renee with your support!
