Renee, my sister, experienced a sudden and life-threatening medical emergency when she was airlifted to a hospital an hour and a half away due to a ruptured intestinal tumor. This led to her being placed on life support and undergoing four emergency surgeries, during which her large intestine and part of her small intestine were removed. She has now been in the hospital for 34 days, facing a long and challenging recovery. Once she is released, Renee will require wound and colostomy care for at least 12 months while she awaits a fifth surgery.

Throughout this ordeal, Renee's husband, Rob, has been by her side every day, making a three-hour round trip to support her. He is currently on unpaid FMLA from his job, adding financial stress to an already overwhelming situation. The mounting medical bills, ongoing need for medical supplies and care, and travel expenses are creating a significant burden for their family.
