Hello everyone. I am Lauren, and I have been close friends with Renee for almost 8 years. Unfortunately, on the early morning of January 25th, a person Renee was once involved with romantically intentionally doused her car with some sort of accelerant and set fire to her car. In the aftermath, Renee has had to leave her home unexpectedly as she fears for her safety and well-being. As a result of this incident, she has faced significant financial hardships, including needing to take unpaid time from her work and the increased financial burden of obtaining a new vehicle and securing safe housing as the person responsible has yet to be apprehended.

Renee is a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and cares greatly for her community. She works as a case manager providing vital support for people living with HIV and is an amazing and supportive friend. Renee is incredibly resilient, but the past month she has been encountering significant emotional, physical, and financial hardships.

Renee will use the funds from this to stay afloat on her bills, catch up with past due payments, secure safe transportation and housing, and to supplement the unpaid time she will need to take for future court dates and mental health treatment.
