For Renee
Windy is asking for help for her aunt Renee, as Renee faces one of the hardest battles of her life. As someone who has always been there for everyone else, Renee now needs the help she has always so freely given others. Renee is battling DCIS, ductal carcinoma breast cancer, and has bravely chosen to undergo a double mastectomy on August 31st. She will be out of work for several weeks and will also need rehabilitation afterwards. Renee is carrying this burden largely on her own. She is a single woman who lost her husband not long ago and lives by herself, and while her sons will be there to help with care for her, they both work full-time jobs and can only do so much during her recovery.
This fundraiser is meant to help ease some of the responsibility Renee is facing so she can focus on healing and to help ease some of the financial responsibility of doing this all on her own. Donations will help cover everyday essentials like food and monthly bills, as well as potential Uber rides, medical co-pays, prescriptions, and post-op care. Any support, no matter the size, will mean so much to Renee and her family during this difficult time. If donating is not possible, a kind word or prayer is also deeply appreciated. Thank you for keeping Renee in your thoughts and for helping surround her with love and support as she begins this major procedure and the recovery to follow.
