I'm Renee, a single mom in Michigan. I'm raising a 10-year-old daughter, named Charli, by myself. I recently was laid off from my job and was collecting unemployment all summer while doing odd jobs for cash and searching for another full-time job. I have come to the end of my savings, and unemployment has run out. So have the prospects for odd jobs because of the weather.

I'm still actively searching for a job full-time and hope to start somewhere soon.

I have only been able to pay a small portion of December's rent and would be devastated if we were evicted for non-payment. I am also behind on my car payments and hope my vehicle is not repossessed. I drive 16 miles, round trip, to get my daughter to school.

I just need a little help to get rent and bills paid through this winter. Once I can start working full-time, I know I can catch up and start saving money again.

I know how blessed we are and appreciate any help anyone can give.
