Support Renee Amacher's Battle with Breast Cancer

Donation protected
We are rallying together as friends and family to help our sweet Renee Amacher fight her upcoming fight against Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer.

Here is Renee’s story, in her words:

On January 7th, 2025, I was diagnosed with Grade 3 Invasive Ductal Breast Cancer in my left breast that had already spread to my Lymph Nodes. As you can imagine, this diagnosis sent me into a tailspin of emotions, doctor visits, and countless tests/scans. Further tests showed that it is likely the cancer has spread to my hip bone (waiting on bone biopsy results) and possibly my sternum (tests were inconclusive).

Fast forward to today, while I'm still waiting on a few test results, we do know that the cancer is very aggressive, and the breast tumor has already grown 1.5 cm in a few weeks (from 4.5cm to 6cm). Taking all of this into consideration, my treatment team at the Cleveland Clinic have decided to start me on chemotherapy as soon as possible.

Therefore, I will start chemo next week, Tues 2/4, and will have four months (8 sessions total) of chemo (AC-T regiment) - one day a week, every other week, followed by surgery and radiation later in the year.

While I am feeling and have felt all the emotions you can possibly feel (anxiety, fear, worry, stress, anger, sadness, etc.), I know one thing to be true - God is in control. This is His battle, and I know there is a bigger purpose and plan for all of this even though I might not understand it now. While life is not always fair, please don't get that confused with God - He is always good and always faithful!! So, I am putting my trust in Him!

Prayer Requests:

* I get my chemo port in this Friday 1/31 and ask for prayers that everything goes according to plan (that I don't have any allergic reaction to it) and that I'm not in pain.

* Chemo starts 2/4 - prayers to calm my nerves and that everything goes well that day.

* Prayers that the chemo side effects are manageable and that I don't get too sick.

* Prayers that the chemo is affective and shrinks the tumors

* Prayers for safe travels to and from the Cleveland Clinic

* Prayers for my family and friends as they deal with this diagnosis themselves and help me with this new normal!

Other Ways to Help:

* Prayers - the most important :)

* Gift Cards - gas gift cards, Giant Eagle/Meijer/Walmart gift cards for groceries, DoorDash or restaurant gift cards (because I'm a terrible cook lol)

Renee has the spirit, grit and grace to fight this battle courageously. Let’s show her that she is not alone. Together, we can help ease her burden and remind her that she is wrapped in our love and support.

Funds raised will help with medical bills, treatment costs, travel expenses, and any unexpected expenses that arise. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease some of the weight on her shoulders. We want Renee to be able to pour all her energy into healing.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read, share, and contribute.

With Much Gratitude,
Heather Joachim & Annie Gyarmati
