Support Rene Veliz's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for a beloved member of our Laurel Circle community — Rene Veliz.
Rene has been a dedicated and skilled maintenance technician at Laurel Circle Continuing Care Community for over 15 years. Every day, he brought not only his technical expertise but also a warm smile, a generous heart, and a deep commitment to the well-being of our residents. Rene is more than just a team member — he is family. He has quietly and faithfully worked behind the scenes to ensure our community is safe, comfortable, and full of care for the people who live here.
Tragically, Rene was recently struck by a vehicle while walking in a crosswalk on Route 28 in Bound Brook, NJ. He sustained a traumatic brain injury and is now facing a long and uncertain road to recovery. As he fights to heal, Rene is unable to return to work — the place where he has given so much of himself for over a decade.
We are raising funds to help cover Rene’s extensive medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and the many unforeseen expenses that come with such a devastating injury. This support will also help provide some relief to his family as they navigate this unimaginable time.
Rene has always been the kind of person who quietly shows up, ready to help however he can. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
If you are able, please consider making a donation. No amount is too small, and every gift is a step toward easing the burden on Rene and his loved ones. If you cannot give at this time, we ask that you keep Rene in your thoughts and prayers, and help us spread the word by sharing this page.
With gratitude,
The Veilz family
