This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write, but our soul-dog Remy needs your help. He's just a few weeks shy of 13 years old and has been in pain for a little over a month now. His veterinary team have diagnosed him with a bulging disc in his spine, and while noninvasive treatments were showing promise for a few weeks, he has recently taken a severe turn for the worse and lost all mobility in his back legs.

The only treatment option left is a surgery that might cost anywhere from $7-10k and we don't have the resources to make it happen on our own, but he is showing us a lot of signs that he hasn't given up fighting and so we aren't ready to give up either. We're turning to our community in hopes of offsetting as much of that burden as possible so that we can make decisions based on his well-being rather than our financial limitations.

If we can't come up with the money to make surgery attainable, we would apply funds to a set of two custom made wheelchairs (inside and outside) and having a ramp built which would still be a pretty significant financial burden but we don't have exact numbers yet.

He's still the happiest boy. He's wagging his tail when his people walk in the room or he hears treats coming out, barking at his big/little brother when he hears him running past the back door, and thrilled to be laying in my lap licking my feet against my wishes. We just want to give him his mobility back so that he can get the highest quality possible out of his remaining time with us. Please help if you can, we aren't ready to say goodbye and it really doesn't seem like he is, either.
