Remmi Nicole and Mamadou Konate Simbo are vibrant leaders in our drumming community. They have been blessed with a son who is due in March. They bring energy, love, and support to everyone around them as musicians, teachers, loyal friends, and parents. Now, as they prepare to welcome a new baby into their family, they are facing an unexpected challenge that requires our help.

Shortly after birth, the baby will need to undergo heart surgery for a condition called dTGA. This news has meant that Remmi Nicole will need to take more time off from work than she had planned, so she can care for her newborn and focus on the baby's recovery as well as her own. The financial strain of medical bills and living expenses during this time is significant. Remmi Nicole and Mamoudou have always been the first to help others—now it’s our turn to support them.
