Over the last week my beautiful girl has gone down hill and pretty quick. I’ve had her at the emergency vets twice and was diagnosed with what they thought was a torn ACL of her rear left leg. She began with a slight limp last Monday, emergency vets twice on Tuesday because she also began vomiting and her limp was getting much worse. They did X-rays to rule out a blockage but told me to give pain meds and see if that helps for a few days since I didn’t have 10,000 for surgery. By Wednesday afternoon, she was unable to walk at all, i called and they told me the pain meds she was on could sedate her a bit and that I should just keep monitoring her… well we took her back again to the emergency vet on Friday and was told by a different doctor that it was a misdiagnosis and was definitely not a torn ACL and is something neurological and to get an MRI asap. After spending nearly $800 with those 3 visits, I was told the MRI would range around $5000. I rushed her to PASE in Philly Saturday morning at 9am where Remi received an MRI. This scan came back normal and her spine looks great. The doctor believes it’s a nerve issue that has caused her to have no mobility in any of her legs, at this point. My family has started a GoFundMe for our beautiful sweet girl and so far we’ve raised $600 but that’s far from the nearly $4,500 bill we received at PASE.
I’m usually the one to donate but I’m asking if everyone would be willing to donate even if it’s $5, it’s still something. We still don’t have any signs of improvement and will need to purchase a cart to help her move around.
If you’d rather call PASE directly with a donation, they will accept and I’ll be speaking with the financial team. Below is their contact information:
