My name is David Bowers. I am the Senior Partner at Laurelwood Accounting and we are raising funds to provide relief to the community of St. Elizabeth's Parish in Jamaica on behalf of our friends and family who live there. The parish of St. Elizabeth in southwestern Jamaica was devastated recently by Hurricane Melissa. Food, water, building materials and medical supplies are in short supply. 100% of all funds raised will go directly towards funding efforts to provide these basic needs. Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of you for your support and generosity.
Laurelwood provides pro bono services to tatch tree (https://tatchtree.com/), a restaurant in Santa Cruz, Jamaica that is owned and operated by members of my family. Tatch tree partners are returning Jamaican citizens with community ties that run deep. As such, tatch tree is in a unique position to play a meaningful role in the recovery efforts that are currently underway. Located in the heart of Santa Cruz, tatch tree is expecting to reopen its doors soon and will serve as a key player in the relief efforts of the community.
I am pleased to announce that our first shipment is already enroute to Jamaica. A truckload of food, water and much needed supplies is on its way to our friends and families in need.
The recovery efforts have just begun and we will continue to provide relief to our friends and neighbors in Jamaica and ask you to support us in this worthy endeavor.
