SINGLE MOTHER DIAGNOSED WITH STAGE 4 METASTATIC BREAST CANCER NEEDS HELP!!!!
My sister Reina has a long road to recovery and many more medical appointments and procedures in her future. She has been unable to work since October 2025 and lost her housing. Raising a teenager is hard enough, but to do it as a single mother dealing with cancer and without housing is overwhelming. I am starting this GoFundMe in the hopes that we can raise money to help my sister with her medical, transportation, and housing costs so she can focus on treatments for stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Taking the financial stress off her plate clears the road for a more successful recovery.
At the beginning of November 2025, my little sister went to the ER because she couldn’t walk. Reina had been experiencing pain a month prior, but when it finally got bad, she went to the ER. Expecting to hear that her hip was broken (because of a prior fall), they told her she would never walk again, that she was paralyzed. As if hearing that wasn’t enough, they then proceeded to tell her she has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that has spread to other regions of the body. Some of the lesions were on her scalp and hip, which they said explained the pain.
After about a week in the hospital, Reina left the hospital in Las Vegas to go to Arizona (for insurance purposes) where she could start undergoing cancer treatments. Upon arrival in Arizona, she went straight to the hospital where more testing was done. Reina was informed her hip was fractured and went in for a total hip replacement within a few days. Within 3 hours of her surgery, Reina was up and walking again. (Que Miracle) The hospital in Arizona has confirmed her stage 4 metastatic breast cancer diagnosis and she will be starting treatments while also doing physical therapy. As of Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, the hospital hopes to transfer Reina to a rehabilitation facility so she has somewhere to stay for the time being.
Reina has always been the life of the party, the first to make you laugh, the person who would rather see you laugh with them than to see you having a bad day. She has always been the first to help her friends and family in their time of need. She has literally given the clothes off her back and out of her closet to help those less fortunate, expecting nothing in return. She is my first friend and one of the best people many people have had the pleasure to meet and know.
The holidays are tough enough, your support could make all the difference. Thank you for your interest and support.
