Support Rei's Top Surgery Recovery

Hi :) Some of you know me as Skatetosunset, many of you know me personally as Rei Jackson.

This past year has been very eventful for me, and I’ve been able to document my interactions and experiences through various outlets. Whether that is through my lens, my pen, or the clothes I wear, there is always a part of me left behind in anything I do. There is always a story to be told through the work I share with the world.

My environment and my community have served me greatly, as I have been blessed enough to be one of the trans people fortunate enough to receive gender-affirming care.

Living in San Francisco has aided in this access, but nonetheless—I am still a struggling college student. Now that I have access to this care, the next step in this process is acquiring the funds to be able to afford the care I need in order to feel affirmed internally and externally. In this case, what I am raising funds for is top surgery.

Throughout the past year, I have been in communication with GCC (Gender Confirmation Center) here in San Francisco and have decided to fully and undoubtedly put my trust in the hands of Dr. Scott Mosser to perform my double incision surgery at the start of May, the 1st to be exact! I am blessed enough to have my procedure covered by my insurance, but my recovery journey is solely on me to figure out. This is where my amazing community comes in :)

Although I am not more important than the next, I decided to overcome my anxieties and humbly ask my beautiful community for any donations possible to my recovery aid.
