hi my name is sayed from america im organizing this campaign for reham in gaza this is her tragic story of harships and resilience.
I am Reham from Gaza. I live with my elderly father and my five sisters in a single tent after the war took everything from us. Our home, which once held our family and gave us a sense of safety, was completely destroyed. We are now without shelter, without privacy, and without the most basic necessities of life. My father is retired and no longer has the ability to provide us with a dignified life or protect us from the harsh reality we are living in. After losing the dearest people to me—my mother was killed, and my sister was injured—we have nothing left.
We are five sisters:
Reham (20), Manal (22), Hadeel (26), Malak (17), and Aya (14).
Five young women living together in a tent that does not protect us from the cold of winter, and in summer we suffocate from the heat and insects. A tent is not our home; it is daily suffering, physical and emotional exhaustion, and a constant feeling of insecurity.
Each one of us has dreams and ambitions that the war has taken away. We dream of continuing our university education, having a future, and holding our books instead of carrying this pain. But reality is cruel. Our father does not have the ability to educate us, and we live day by day, trying only to survive.
Our simplest dream now is a small room, just one wall that can protect us from the cold of winter and the heat of summer—a place where we can feel that we are human beings who deserve comfort and dignity. We are not asking for the impossible, only a chance to live and a chance to keep dreaming despite everything.
