Reginalynn King Memorial Fund
Update on Reginalynn.
As many know and many also do not, my wife Reginalynn King passed away on Thursday June 5th. She suffered a seizure on Tuesday evening and after extensive testing, she no longer showed any further brain activity. She was surrounded by family and friends and passed in comfort around 4pm on Thursday. I, her husband cannot express the grief and heartache My family is going thru. We have lost our rock, our beacon and the love of a mother and wife that cannot be matched. She will forever be remembered for her kind soul, generous heart and loving spirit that she expressed to our family but to anyone she met. I will forever miss the love of my life my soulmate my best friend. My family cannot begin to thank everyone who has came forward for us and helped with their generosity in our most extreme time of need. I will be leaving this page available if anyone wishes to donate to help with final expenses and memorial notes. Thank you all for your continued condolences and prayers for our family, we cannot thank everyone enough. Thank you and God Bless.
My wife, Reginalynn King, is only 31 and has been fighting for her life in the ICU for over 10 days. She was diagnosed with HLH, a rare and extremely serious autoimmune condition that has caused severe infections and life-threatening complications. The first hospital she was admitted to provided such horrifically inadequate care she became unresponsive and has remained that way for the past four days now. It was only after our family advocated tirelessly that she was transferred to a hospital with an outstanding ICU. While her condition is starting to improve, thanks to a very invasive and aggressive treatment plan that is extremely hard on her, she remains critically ill, facing a long road to recovery.
This crisis has deeply affected our family. We have twin 4-year-old boys, one of whom has a severe case of autism, a 10-year-old, an adopted 18-year-old daughter, and Reginalynn is also stepmother to my 15-year-old daughter. Our children are struggling with fear and uncertainty, missing both their mother and my presence as I stay by Reginalynn’s side. The hospital is two hours away from home, making travel and being present for our kids even more challenging.
We are facing mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and falling behind on rent and basic needs for our children. I have been unable to work while supporting Reginalynn in the hospital, and our family is stretched to the limit. I am in no way asking anyone to do anything they cannot do, and I truly hate having to ask for help. This unpredictable illness has left me with no choice but to reach out for aid to help my family until we can complete her treatment and work through a lawsuit we are filing against the first hospital for the negligent care that caused her condition to worsen so dramatically. Any support will help us cover medical costs, travel, and essential care for our children during this incredibly difficult time. Your help means everything as we fight for Reginalynn’s recovery and try to keep our family together.
