Support Regina Paige After Losing Her Beloved Husband
Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
We are reaching out with humble hearts on behalf of our beloved mother-in-law, Regenia Paige, and our family as we navigate a deeply challenging time. Last year, our dear father-in-law, Roger Paige, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Roger was a good-hearted, hardworking man who fought valiantly despite a lifelong struggle with food addiction. He always put his family above everything, and those values are what shaped him into the kind, generous soul we will forever cherish.
When Roger was diagnosed, Regenia stayed by his side day and night, giving him her full support and care. For almost a year, she remained at home to look after him. This meant losing a majority of her income from her full-time position turned into a very “part-time” remote position, only on days she was able to. After Roger’s passing, Regenia is able to return to her job, but the year with significantly less pay has put an enormous strain on her financially. Now, she is struggling to cover the expenses for his cremation and to make ends meet as she grieves the loss of her beloved husband.
Recently, Regenia and Roger purchased a house along with Regina’s parents to create a supportive, close-knit family home. However, shortly after moving in, Roger’s cancer diagnosis came, and not long after that, Regenia’s father passed away. They went from four incomes to two. Their shared home became a place of sorrow as both Regina and her mother endured the loss of their husbands in such a short period.
To support Regina and her mother, my husband and I made the decision to move our family from Florida, leaving behind our business, to be there for them emotionally and financially. We’re working hard to transform the home’s basement to create extra space for our family to live comfortably. My husband is doing all the renovations himself, but he recently began a full-time job, which limits his availability. As a result, we may need to hire additional help, adding more unexpected costs.
Though we’re not seeking long-term assistance, our family is asking for a bit of support to help us get back on our feet. The funds raised will be used to cover the costs associated with Roger’s cremation, support Regenia during this transition, and get things back on track. The amount that we are asking is more than enough to do this, although any amount is very appreciated.
