Support Refugio Holbox: Hurricane Relief Needed

Hurricane Helene brought an incredible amount of wind and rain to the island. The thunderstorms continue every day. At Refugio Holbox there are 150 cats and dogs needing your help. The rescue is flooded 6 to 12 inches of water in places. Even the veterinarian office spaces were flooded!! They are struggling with everyday costs, and now the hurricane has put more pressure on the rescue.

Expenses were already challenging before the hurricane. Now the rescue is struggling to make payments for medicine and food. It’s low season, there aren’t many tourists here to care and walk the dogs. The streets are flooded, you have to wear knee high rubber boots!! So donations are down. This community relies on the kindness of animal lovers to continue its mission. They are a loving group that give everything to caring for the animals here. Now, they need your help.
